A considerable challenge consists of producing or manipulating the most varied variants or models of a product by utilizing the existing production-technical facilities. A significant time and thus cost factor is to retrofit existing production facilities, for example, as a result of a model change, so adapt tools and / or handling equipment to a modified product. It should be noted that the time required for this conversion represents a dead time in which the production, or at least one production area, does not provide any output. Furthermore, it should be noted that a corresponding storage or administration is necessary for the different tools and / or handling equipment. Subsequently, care must be taken to ensure that the correct tools and / or handling equipment are used in a model conversion in the right places.
Especially in the bodywork of the automotive industry, the production of a variety of different models and design variants on one and the same production equipment, such as a conveyor, desirable and, for economic reasons, also necessary. It must be ensured that the most varied components are correctly positioned for processing, regardless of which version of a component is currently involved.
In order to be able to process different vehicle types or their components in any sequence, DE 20 201 103 051 U1 shows a lifting and turning device which allows different tools and workpieces to be picked up and correspondingly positioned by means of a lifting / rotating movement. The disadvantage is to see that the drive is via a classic gear with the appropriate teeth. The exact positioning of any attached to the hub-rotating device tools or components is therefore dependent on the interaction of the drive control and the teeth of the gearbox used bes. To prevent unwanted twisting under load, the self-locking of the transmission is used. Of course, a certain gear play must be considered. The reproducibility is therefore limited in terms of positioning or only ensured by increased control effort.
The object of the present invention is therefore to enable an accurate and reproducible positioning of workpieces of different design without increased control effort.
The object is achieved in that the tools are formed by clamping and / or centering, which are designed differently for receiving and / or positioning of different workpieces and that the rotating device comprises a Maltese gear.
The at least two mutually different clamping and / or centering devices allow the clamping and / or centering of two different workpieces on the removable head. A Maltese gear is built in a known way from a star wheel and a drive wheel. The star wheel of the Geneva gear allows in conjunction with the associated drive wheel to provide an accurate, reproducible positioning of the clamping and / or centering without corresponding, high-resolution sensors and an associated exact position control.
Advantageously, the Maltese transmission from a starwheel with at least four star wheel leg and corresponding Sternradnuten and a drive wheel with a driving pin, which cooperates depending on the angular position of star wheel and drive wheel, with the Sternradnuten formed.
